To deliver more warm and dry homes in areas of high demand, Kāinga Ora is replacing older state houses with a greater number of new and modern homes, and partnering with developers and others to build on new land.

Kāinga Ora social housing projects not already contracted for delivery are under assessment while we work with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development on locations it would like prioritised under the Public Housing Plan and our approach to housing renewal.
