A new start for Blenheim whānau
25 June 2025
A new 13-home development in Blenheim will provide a stable home for tenants and their families.
The new development in central Blenheim includes 6 two-bedroom homes; 3 three-bedroom homes; 2 four-bedroom homes and 2 five-bedroom homes. It is the second largest Kāinga Ora development to be completed in Blenheim.
Julia Campbell, Regional Director Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast, says the team has been working hard to place families into the homes.
“We’re absolutely delighted that the tenants who are moving in here will now have a suitable place to live where they can settle in and enjoy time with their whānau. The new tenants have been on the social housing register in need of a home or are already a Kāinga Ora tenant and have been waiting for a bigger home, so this is life changing for them.
“The new homes are in a great location in central Blenheim for families who are just a hop, skip and jump to the school, the supermarket and other amenities,” she says.
Construction of the new homes by Blenheim construction company CMT Group began in May 2024.
