Our Gender and Ethnic Pay Gaps data has been published for 2025 as part of Kia Toipoto – the Pay Gaps Action Plan outlined by Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission to help close gender, Māori, Pacific and ethnic pay gaps across the Public Service.

We are a diverse organisation, and we have seen improvements in three of the four criteria over the past year.

Kāinga Ora is committed to Kia Toipoto(external link) and will support Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission to close gender, Māori, Pacific and ethnic pay gaps across the New Zealand Public Service. By putting Kia Toipoto into action at Kāinga Ora we follow the guidance of the Public Service Commission which includes engaging with our people and unions to reduce any gaps.

We closely measure our progress to improve our position and contribute to the reducing the pay gaps in the public service.

Kāinga Ora Gender and Ethnic Pay Gaps can be found in our DEI Plan [PDF, 687 KB] - our pathway towards a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce at Kainga Ora.
