The Kāinga Whenua Loan is designed to support whānau Māori with their housing aspirations and remove some of the barriers to accessing finance.

Home Ownership holiday hours

The Home Ownership team will be out of the office over the holiday period, from 12pm Wednesday, 24 December 2025, returning 8am on Monday, 5 January 2026.

Note that any applications or correspondence received after Monday, 15 December 2025 may not be reviewed until the week commencing Monday, 12 January 2026.

The Kāinga Whenua Loan is an opportunity for Māori to build, purchase or relocate a house on multiply-owned Māori land.
