Over that time, 120 new homes have been made available to the community, housing many tenants and allowing young families to thrive.

On Friday 18 October the team from Kāinga Ora joined with Panama Road School, Good Seed Trust, Auckland Council and Riverside/Taha Awa Community Centre to welcome new tenants to the area. A powhiri and morning tea at the school was followed by a workshop to share ideas about what they would like to see in their community and lunch at the community centre.

Thanks to the volunteers at the Good Seed Trust (pictured) who looked after the catering for the lunch and to Panama Road School, Riverside/Taha Awa Community Centre and all the groups who were involved in bringing the event together to welcome Mt Wellington’s new residents.
