New Zealand is a member of the Open Government Partnership(external link), an agreement between 78 nations that aims to improve transparency, increase public participation and use new technologies to make governments more accountable, responsive and inclusive.

Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission is leading out the work to develop the next National Action Plan to set up open government commitments. It is also leading the engagement process to develop the plans.

It’s important a diverse range of voices participate in this important conversation. The issues Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission is engaging on fall under three main themes:
